2BM Recruitment Ltd have an opportunity for a Buyer in Mansfield. Permanent full time role working for our established, highly successful global client. You will work closely within the Procurement department and liaise with colleagues to ensure effective purchasing and buyer responsibilities are maintained.


Your Pay & Benefits:

·       Permanent buyer working fulltime Monday to Friday 39 hours per week.

·       Working hours can be flexible starting between 7am - 9am, half an hour lunch break.

·       Starting salary up to £43k per annum (negotiable depending on skills, qualifications & experience)

·       Bonus scheme

As a Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Professional your key responsibilities will be:

·       Maintain the supply of key materials whilst monitoring market trends and supply chain strategies.

·       Negotiate/Purchase goods, materials, components, or services working globally with suppliers including America, China, and Europe to ensure that the supply of key materials is maximised through volume purchasing benefits.

·       Develop effective supplier strategies and long-term relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness.

·       Provide analysis on costs and review cost reduction activities.

·       Collaborate closely with the procurement team to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

·       Prepare data for monthly performance reports.


Qualifications and required skills:

·       CIPS qualification or equivalent including part qualification.

·       Experience in a manufacturing environment with global procurement experience essential.

·       Team player who contributes effectively to team objectives.

·       Confident, professional negotiation and communication skills.

·       Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

·       IT skills including MS Office applications, Sage/SAP or similar and excellent attention to detail skills are essential.
