​2BM Recruitment are working in partnership with our engineering client in client in Sheffield with an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor. Permanent role working 40 hours on day shift Monday to Friday.   • Salary circa £41k - £43,400.00 per annum (Depending on experience & skills) + Paid Overtime

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will lead a small maintenance team of fitters as the main focal point for the maintenance department & report directly to the Operations Manager. You will be responsible for the management of the maintenance team on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring all production machines, associated equipment, and land & buildings, are maintained, ensuring product quality, and health & safety performance. Implementing planned maintenance programs, breakdowns, repairs, parts, and reactive maintenance issues with a range of heavy machinery. You will work with the production supervisors and maintenance team to reduce downtime ensuring production targets are met company wide, in a safe and efficient manner. As the maintenance Supervisor you will also be responsible for managing shift rotas, weekly maintenance reports, team timesheets, staff appraisals and H&S including near misses, risks assessments and PPE.

We’re extremely keen to talk to candidates who have experience as a Mechanical or Multi Skilled Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader or experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to progress into a management role or similar that have:

Experience within heavy engineering, manufacturing, steelworks, or steel processing environment.

Ideally you will be apprentice trained or similar within Maintenance however relevant experience is also accepted. You’ll have a ‘can do’ attitude and be a natural problem solver with the ability to lead a maintenance team. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and manage workloads.
